Six men arrested over alleged illegal fox hunting

League Against Cruel Sports chief executive Emma Slawinski has commented on the arrest of six men today for alleged illegal fox hunting.

“We welcome the arrest of six men by Cumbria Constabulary today on suspicion of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged illegal fox hunting in the Lake District.

“The arrests follow an incident filmed by Lake District Hunt Saboteurs of the Coniston Foxhounds during their meet on Saturday, November 8 in the Ambleside area.

“We’d urge people to support the police appeal for more information.”
