League Against Cruel Spots Photography Hide Terms and Conditions

This agreement sets out the conditions of hire for the Photography Hides at Baronsdown Wildlife Reserve, owned by the League Against Cruel Sports.

  1. 1. Definitions

We/Us/Our” means the League Against Cruel Sports a registered charity in England and Wales (1095234) and Scotland (SC045533). Registered in England and Wales as a company limited by guarantee, no. 04037610.Registered office: New Sparling House, Holloway Hill, Godalming, GU7 1QZ, United Kingdom.

You/Your/Yourself” means the person agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions and who is booking the League Photography Hide, as well as any other person to whom a booking is added or transferred.

  1. 2. Your obligations

2.1 You agree that you are physically capable of attending and using the Photography Hide and agree to be solely responsible for your actions, save where provided elsewhere in these terms and conditions. We are not responsible for any injury or illness that you may suffer as a result of your use of the Photography Hide.

2.2 You accept that should any medical or physical condition arise prior to the date of your booking, which is likely to affect your ability to attend, you will notify us immediately.

2.3 You must be a minimum of 18 years old at the time of your booking, or over 16 if accompanied by an adult

2.4 By making a booking, you agree on behalf of all persons detailed on the booking that you have read these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them and that you consent to our use of information in accordance with data protection laws.

  1. 3. Booking
  1. 3.1 You must pay the full amount due at the time of booking.

  2. 3.2 If you believe that any details on the booking summary (or any other document) are wrong, you must advise us immediately.
  1. 4. Cancellation and Amendment

4.1 Any cancellation or amendment request must be sent to us in writing and will not take effect until received by us.

4.2 Any bookings cancelled for any reason within one month of the hide date will be lost.

4.3 Any bookings cancelled with at least a month’s notice can be rescheduled to another date within a 12-month period from the date of cancellation.

4.4 In the unlikely event that we need to make a change to your booking, or cancel it, we will inform you as soon as reasonably possible. If we offer alternative arrangements or a refund, you will need to confirm your choice within the time frame we stipulate. If you fail to do so we are entitled to assume you wish to receive a full refund.

  1. 5. Complaints

5.1 Any queries or complaints should be sent to info@league.org.uk

5.2 If you encounter a problem whilst on Baronsdown Wildlife Reserve or in the Photography Hide, this must be reported immediately to the Head of Conservation & Education. If you fail to follow this procedure, there will be less opportunity to investigate and rectify your complaint.

  1. 6. Special Requests or Requirements

6.1 If you have any special requests, please let us know at least one week before the time of your booking. This includes allergies and accessibility requirements. Sadly, we cannot guarantee we will be able to meet all your requirements.

  1. 7. Building Work

7.1 At times, renovation or refurbishment may take place at or near the Photography Hide during your stay.

  1. 8. Force Majeure

8.1 Except where otherwise expressly stated in these booking conditions, we will not be liable or pay you compensation if our contractual obligations to you are affected by any event which we could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid, e.g. pandemic, war, extreme weather conditions etc.

  1. 9. Behaviour

9.1 Your hire can be terminated, with no refund, if the behaviour of your party falls below an acceptable standard. We may also require you to pay for any damage you cause during your stay.

9.2 We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone who we believe does not support the aims and/or values of the League Against Cruel Sports.

  1. 10. Wildlife

10.1 We cannot guarantee you will see any particular species of wildlife; even though listed on our site as more likely to appear during certain times of year.

  1. 11.  Disclaimer

11.1 The League Against Cruel Sports is not liable for any personal accident and or injury, nor is it liable for any loss and or damage to personal items/equipment whilst at the reserve.

11.2  Booking any of our services means that you accept the terms and conditions stated.
