Our Poet in Residence

Meet our Poet in Residence, Ronnie Goodyer

Ronnie Goodyer, our Poet-in-Residence is a poet and publisher with six collections to his name.  He was on the BBC2 Judging Panel for their Off By Heart poetry competition. Ronnie founded award-winning Indigo Dreams Publishing which he runs with partner Dawn. They were the first joint winners in the history of the Ted Slade Award for Services to Poetry. Indigo Dreams won the Most Innovative Publisher Award in 2017, coming second in 2016 and 2018, and launched ‘For the Silent’, an anthology of poems, to aid the work of the League Against Cruel Sports. They live with rescue blue merle collie Mist, in an ex-forester’s house in the southwest.

Ronnie provides a creative and positive support to the League, contributing to our membership publications, Protect and League Life as well as a quarterly blog. He also liaises with League members who contact him about poetry. He launched the first ever poetry competition for League members and in 2022, Ronnie will be continuing his incredible support with the publication of a second anthology of poems. Start honing or writing your poems!
