Welsh Government to introduce badger culling on ‘problematic farms’

In response to the Welsh government’s decision to cull badgers, Jordi Casamatijana, Head of Policy and Research at the League Against Cruel Sports, said:

"We are very disappointed, as we do not believe this will help to solve the cattle problem in those farms and the surrounding areas. This decision goes against the current evidence that shows how effective the Welsh Government has been up until now in reducing BTB in cattle without culling a single badger.

“It appears that the propaganda of those who unfairly blame badgers for this man-made epidemic has unfortunately clouded the judgement of those responsible for this ill-informed policy change"
