Scottish public shocked and disgusted by cub hunting

Right now, in the British countryside, hunts are busy preparing for the forthcoming hunting season. That preparation involves something sinister, something that will shock most decent people, something the hunts desperately try to keep secret. That something is cub hunting.

Cub hunting is the practice of training hounds to hunt and kill foxes. Hunting a fox does not come naturally to a dog and as such the hounds have to be trained to kill them. To do so the victims are young fox cubs. It is estimated that thousands of cubs are killed every year to ensure that the hounds are able to then hunt adult foxes during the season.

The League's Scotland supporter group have been busy trying to expose this hidden horror of fox hunting. Every weekend from September until mid October we will be in towns and cities throughout Scotland informing the public of what really goes on. We have already been in Falkirk, Dunfermline, Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Edinburgh. The reaction from the public has been one of shock, disgust and of overwhelming support for what we are trying to do, they want to see this abhorrent practice end. This coming Sunday we will be in Dumfries.
