National Trust announces 'trail' hunting licences suspension

BREAKING: The National Trust has just announced that it will be suspending all 'trail' hunting licences for the remainder of this season.

This shows just how far the hunting lobby’s mask of respectability has slipped. It really is a positive step from the National Trust, following on from a similar decision by Forestry England yesterday. It shows how seriously both organisations are taking the admissions from hunters that ‘trail’ hunting is just a smokescreen for real hunting.

We now repeat our calls for other landowners such as United Utilities, Defra, Ministry of Defence, and the Duchy of Cornwall to follow suit.
