Charlie Moores welcomed as League Against Cruel Sports' new Vice-Chair

Charlie Moores, co-founder and former Chair of Birders Against Wildlife Crime, has been elected as the League Against Cruel Sports' new Vice-Chairman.

Charlie is a well-known figure in the conservation community. A League trustee since 2013 and a life-long birdwatcher, he has a particular interest in shooting issues and the industry's associated use of snares and predator control.

Charlie is also a podcaster, and is now working as a Producer on Lush Radio, a new channel discussing conservation, the environment, animal welfare and human rights, as well as highlighting the work of smaller charities.

League Against Cruel Sports CEO Eduardo Gonçalves said: "We are very excited to welcome Charlie to the League's Board as Vice-Chair.

"At a time when driven grouse shooting and other cruel sports are in the spotlight, he is an incredibly valuable addition to our team. He brings with him a wealth of experience in issues relating to conservation and commercial game shooting as well as strong connections with the birding community."
