Is this the start of an amazing month for animal welfare?

This evening, I am very proud to let you know that the League won a CIPR award for the Best Not For Profit Campaign for its work at the 2019 General Election.

I could not be more proud of my team and all of our supporters. Without your effort, this achievement would not have been possible.

Covid prevented an award programme at the time so I am doubly pleased that memories are not short, and that this achievement has been formally recognised.

A lot of water has passed under the bridge since then but let's remember that campaign. It was the FIRST TIME since the introduction of the Hunting Act that the Conservative Party took a position that was not absolute repeal, safeguarding the act. Small steps, but in taking that action, I do believe that for the first time we are on a path towards a total ban.

This month could be the first of many nails in the coffin for the hunting community. A verdict will be delivered in the Hankinson trial and the National Trust AGM will happen before the end of October. Who knows what could happen after.....

Thank you all who have stuck with us and truly support us. Together we are making change happen - it's not just me saying it, the most respected voice for the PR and Communications industry has just shouted it from the rooftops.
