Your legacy for animals

Leaving a gift in your Will is an incredibly special, personal way of ensuring you can continue to protect animals long into the future.

Legacies make up roughly half of the League’s total income, so they are absolutely critical in enabling us to realise our vision of a society where the harming and killing of animals for so-called ‘sport’ is a thing of the past.

We understand that you will want to ensure your loved ones are taken care of first. However, even a small portion of what’s left could make an enormous difference for thousands of animals suffering persecution in the name of sport.

Your legacy gift could play a vital role in enabling us to:

  • Stamp out dog fighting in every region of the UK
  • Ban the use of breeding cages for pheasants and partridges
  • Ban the manufacture, sale and use of snares

Getting in touch

If you would like to discuss pledging a gift to the League in your Will, please don’t hesitate to contact Mike Cook on 01483 524 250 or email [email protected]. Any information you provide will not put you under any obligation, and will be treated in the strictest confidence.

You may also find our guide to gifts in Wills helpful, where you can find advice about wording to use in your Will, or how to amend an existing Will.

If you have already pledged a gift in your Will and would be happy to share this information with us, we’d be ever so grateful if you could let us know. This will help us to plan our work more effectively, as well as ensuring we can keep you updated on how we are using legacies to protect animals.

We’ve been members of the League for many years and the more we’ve come to know of their wonderful work, the more we’ve tried to help. We are so happy that our support can continue long after we’re gone.
