Did you know that the University of Reading lease its Hall Farm to a commercial pheasant shoot?

Large numbers of non-indigenous pheasants are being released on University grounds for the sole purpose of being killed for ‘sport’. No other cruel sport has such devastating impact on animals as commercial ‘game’ shooting.

Not only are large numbers of birds shot for fun but native animals such as foxes, stoats and weasels are persecuted by gamekeepers to maximise the number of ‘game’ birds.

The League Against Cruel Sports will be outside Whiteknights campus to welcome new students to Freshers Fayre and to ask them to support our campaign to end pheasant shooting on the University’s land.

Join us in our call to #EndShooting at #ReadingUniversity.
