Get involved 25th May - Yorkshire Water day of action Join us on 25th May when we are once again working with Ban Bloodsports on Yorkshire’s Moors for a day of action against grouse shooting. Campaigners across the county will be urging Yorkshire Water to finally make a commitment to end its grouse shooting leases. Our aim? To increase the pressure by engaging with the company’s customers in towns and cities across Yorkshire. So, far we have events in 19 towns and cities across Yorkshire and would love you to take part. Utilities company Yorkshire Water is leasing its land for grouse shooting, resulting in the senseless and cruel deaths of thousands of birds and native wildlife. Since our joint campaign began, Yorkshire Water has started reviewing alternatives to grouse shooting. This is a huge leap forward and is down to the support and action of people like you. However, we cannot lose momentum, which is why we’re inviting you take part in our current initiative. Our Head of Campaigns, Nick Weston will be in York on the Saturday, so please feel free to join him if you can. See the map below to check out other locations. If you're interested, please RSVP to [email protected] Booking for this event has now closed.
