Join the League Against Cruel Sports and Ban Bloodsports as we rally to ban grouse shooting!

Yorkshire Water is leasing out moorland across the region for grouse shooting - resulting in wildlife being killed by trap, snare and gun and sensitive peatland habitat damaged.

The utility company is reviewing alternatives to grouse shooting just one year of campaigning by Ban Bloodsports on Yorkshire’s Moors, the League Against Cruel Sports and activists across the county.

This is a step in the right direction, but it’s not enough — wild animals continue to be harmed and the environment damaged on Yorkshire Water’s watch.

What shall we do?

Huge crowd of protesters at Hebden Bridge

Last year, we protested in Hebden Bridge, generating blanket media coverage across the region calling for Yorkshire Water to pull the pug on shooting.

This year, we're taking the fight to them.

Just days before the start of the grouse shooting season we will hold a respectful protest in Bradford, Yorkshire Water’s home town, to urge the company to pull the plug on grouse shooting.
