How the League helps keep animal cruelty history

The League is actively taking steps to ensure the Hunting Act remains in force, including:

Lobbying MPs

Over recent months, the League has lobbied to establish how every Member of Parliament would vote if offered a free vote on repeal of the Hunting Act.

We meet with politicians as often as we can to update them on the campaign and they are always interested to hear about the increasing number of convictions under the Act and how many of their colleagues support the campaign and oppose repeal.

Over the past few months, following our lobbying and media activity, we have seen several MPs join the campaign to support the Hunting Act. Our campaign has also seen the numbers of MPs favouring repeal decreasing. This demonstrates the importance of our parliamentary work and why your support is so vital.
