Annual Review

The League Against Cruel Sports is made up of a dedicated and determined team of staff, supported by tens of thousands of like-minded people who are committed to exposing and bringing an end to the cruelty inflicted on animals in the name of 'sport'.
 
We have proven we are the voice of the majority and not the minority, and supporters can rest assured we will continue to build upon recent efforts to ensure the Hunting Act is secure for future generations.

Here are some of our highlights in the last 12 months:

• Calls to our Wildlife Crimewatch Line (01483 361 108) to report criminal activity increased by over 500% to become the leading dedicated  confidential reporting line on wildlife crime in the UK
• In June we launched the film Gunsmoke and Mirrors revealing the murky truth behind the UK's game shooting industry
• The League joined forces with a group of coalition partners, known collectively as 'Team Badger' and actively campaigned against the planned badger cull
• After years of campaigning, the League was overjoyed to see the Catalonian ban on bullfighting come into force on 1st January 2012
