The Mid- Devon Support Group (which has been active for over 15 years) meets once a month in Exeter. They are a friendly group and welcome new members.
At their meetings they discuss all issues relating to cruel sports. The group are keen letter writers and have coordinated many successful campaigns to the press and relevant organisations. Renowned for their written correspondence, one of their campaigns was referred to in the House of Lords prior to the passage of the Hunting Act 2004!
The group also holds sales and information stalls. Funds raised in this way enabled them to present the League's Chief Executive, Joe Duckworth, with a cheque for £1,500 towards the Million Pound Campaign.
Besides the serious issues, the group also regularly meet socially and have a great time!
If you live in the area and would like to get actively involved in our campaigning work, please call contact Di Lamont at the League's Head Office on 01483 524 250 or e-mail email@example.com.
The groups' events this year are shown below. If you're in the area, do pop along and say hello!
