Annual Review

The League Against Cruel Sports is made up of a dedicated and committed team of staff, supported by tens of thousands of like-minded people who are committed to exposing and bringing an end to the cruelty inflicted on animals in the name of 'sport'.
 
In 2009 we have proven we are the voice of the majority and not the minority, and supporters can rest assured we will continue to build upon this past year's efforts to ensure the Hunting Act is secure for future generations.

Here are some of our highlights in the last 12 months:

• Our involvement in persuading major companies such as British Airways and Eurostart to stop the promotion of bullfighting.
• The publication of the hard hitting report 'War on Wildlife' exposing the grim reality of predator control practices used within the shooting industry.
• The progress we have made in Northern Ireland in pushing animal welfare far up the political agenda.
• Our ongoing determination in Scotland to keep the pressure on the Scottish Government to review its decision to allow the continued use of snares.
