The intense public debate around the badger cull returned to Parliament again yesterday, when, after a very well attended meeting, the Backbench Business Committee of MPs agreed to a six hour House of Commons debate on the cull, from 11.00 AM next Thursday, 25th October.
Getting the debate is a major victory for Team Badger and follows months of concerted campaigning, led by Brian May, with the support of the League, RSPCA, IFAW, HSI and other members of the Group.
With just over a week to go until the debate, the League, our supporters and members, everyone in Team Badger and everyone who cares about these much loved creatures will be doing all they can to ensure we win the debate, and put even more pressure on the Government to stop the cull.
We need your support and your MPs support and we need it now. So please check out our website and the Team Badger website www.stopthecull.com to find out how.
