League launches Facebook donation 'App'

Written by on 18 October, 2011 : 08:04

The League is the first charity to have a secure SMS donation application hosted entirely within Facebook.

The 'App' offer supporters the ability to donate directly through Facebook rather than being directed to another website.

Supporters can choose to donate £1, £3 or £5 by entering their mobile phone number, name and email address on the Facebook page. You are then sent a text message to confirm the donation and the amount is deducted from your telephone bill.

The whole process can be completed in less than a minute. It really never has been easier to donate to the League.

The launch of the App today is timely because the conviction of two huntsmen from the Fernie Hunt was upheld on Friday. Bringing prosecutions against wildlife criminals is a costly, but necessary activity in order to protect and save animals from cruelty.

The League receives no government or lottery funding and is entirely dependent on the generosity of our supporters.

Please go to Facebook and make a secure donation today

hunting is wrong and inhumane! Those animals deserve a happy life!

It would pablroby be a better strategy to sell something of value to people. I think that the action rate would be higher offering a cheap E-Book with good info then just asking for cash
